I was born and raised in the Greater Toronto Area. My parents come from two different walks of life with shared values that they instilled in me: a passion for learning, the importance of hard work, and the value of keeping an open mind.
I believe this background is a big reason why I have spent a lot of time in school. Ultimately, it is a big part of the reasons why I chose to go overseas to complete my legal education. The education I received from law school in England broadened my horizon with lifetime experiences and relationships that have informed the kind of lawyer I want to be.
I believe a career as a lawyer is a career in lifelong learning. Every file is an opportunity to learn something new. But it is not just academic learning. It is also learning with, about, and from, other people. Whether those are my colleagues or clients, it is an opportunity to learn about not just the law but the impact of the law. In turn, I believe this is what makes possible the delivery of quality legal advice and service that is tailored to tackle each client’s needs.
I joined Baker & Company in October 2019. I am delighted to have a wide-ranging practice with a focus on wills and estates, corporate and commercial law, property disputes, employment law, and expropriations law.
I consider myself fortunate to have found such a uniquely empowering and encouraging firm to call home so early in my career as a lawyer. I can warmly call those I work with mentors and colleagues and bring that professional and compassionate energy into relationships with clients and the work I do.
